The History

The project Zona Ganjah idea was born in Jose Gahona (vocals) about the year 2002. After having the opportunity as a child to participate in several bands, and seeing that not materializing these objectives by differences among members, decided to create a project in which they could control the complete music composition, so as not to depend on anyone to advance, ahead confidently.

After learning to control the programming of instrumentals, and with arms in their hands, begins to flow the composition of letters that would bring awareness and / or views that reflect the truth of things, often hidden or distorted by the system.

In 2003, after spending a few years exploring hip-hop, Jose begins recording the first models in which it shows the hip-hop trend, in the musical style of the project, also denoting the difference in the lyrical content, the things which expressed less delicately and attitude of rebellion against the system and contradictions then discovering iva. At that time the intention was not to record more demos and refine increasingly complete music production, in fact at that time the project has failed to take the seriousness that would then, in 2005, when it is finished the first disc Zona Ganjah, titled'' With everything matches Rastafari'', referring to the time in which one lives under the corruption of the system, and Furthermore, agreement and harmony reflecting Rastafari, as to all aspects of culture.The soundtrack of the album was a mix of hip-hop with reggae influences, this mix was perfect to capture the beats lyrics that called on them to take a look at the contradictions of the system, but also providing good energy with positive lyrics.

That was how soon after the end of the first disc, Jose decides to go in search of musical progress to the city of Mendoza in Argentina. There he meets a group of people very close and positive, among whom were two bands formed; 9 miles and Travel Zion. The latter were without vocals, so I decided to give Jose rehearse together to interpret live musicalización Zona Ganjah, which would be a positive development .

After time rehearsing together, the project began to perform live as a band, but the production and musical composition follow the same format, and was well in July 2006 as the second disc of the project was ready to be released. Titled'''' In praise and grace in this musical production will note the turn to the reggae roots, looking also more acoustic sounds, but always with lyrics that bring awareness and good vibration listeners.

After several trips presenting the project in Chile and Argentina, in August 2007 would be the last job ended musical project entitled'' SanaZion''. It would be the third album Zona Ganjah, which enjoys the continuity of those letters and conscious original roots reggae rhythms.

Today the project is in full progress, maintains the validity live band performing with productions and events that merit and Sound-System format. It maintains the main idea for this project does not depend on others to curb the pace, why not work with a fixed band, but remains an independent musical project, not as a group or as a soloist, but as a musical concept designed to provide awareness and good music to the people.
